Car Parks

Melbourne has three car parks that operate 24 hours a day: Short Term, Long Term and Business car parks. The Short Term Parking is located directly opposite the international terminal and is for people greeting or seeing off visitors, as well as for those travelling domestically, who require parking for a day or less. The new Multi-Level Long Term Parking is just directly in front of all three terminals. Long Term Parking offers parking adjacent to the terminal. Business Parking is located directly opposite the Qantas Domestic Terminal, and is a cheaper alternative for those requiring all day parking.

Car Rental

Available at the airport, located at the ground floor of the short-term car park.

Public Buses

Public buses operate from the terminal, to various areas in Melbourne. Information on destinations and schedules can be obtained from the information desks within the airport.

SkyBus

SkyBus offers a shuttle bus service from the airport to Melbourne CBD and city hotels.

This service operates 24 hours, 7 days and departs every 10 – 15 minutes throughout the day and every 30 – 60 minutes overnight.

Taxis

Taxis are available from the ground floor level of Melbourne Airport. Expect to pay around A$32 – A$35 for the 30-minutes trip into the centre of Melbourne. An A$1.00 taxi parking fee now applies at Melbourne Airport. This A$1.00 per vehicle fee only applies to passengers leaving Melbourne Airport from a taxi rank. An A$2.00 per vehicle pre-booked taxi fee also applies for passengers catching a taxi from the Premium Parking area opposite the International Terminal.
