Bus

The Qatar bus service is operated by a government-owned company called Mowalsalat, which also owns all the bluish-silver taxis operating around town. The bus fare is QR 2 for rides in Doha, and up to QR 7 for inter-city buses. The Central Bus Terminus is located near the Alfardan Centre on Grand Hamad Street. Marhaba magazine produces a map which indicates the bus routes.

Car

There are many car rental companies available. You can drive on most foreign licenses for up to 7 days after which it is essential to obtain a local license.

Taxi

"Karwa" taxis are available in all parts of Doha. The taxis are all new, air-conditioned cars and are equipped with a GPS in order to be able to properly find your destination.
